Breitscheid lies on the eastern slope of the Westerwald at the border triangle Hesse - Rhineland-Palatinate - North Rhine-Westphalia. Almost 5.000 people live here. Breitscheid airfield is located west of Breitscheid on the way to the Rabenscheid district. Nearby is the Siegerland airport from there also Helicopter sightseeing flights be performed.
