Did you know? Interesting stuff from the helicopter blog

Bubble windows or the house with the red roof

When it comes to sightseeing flights, our passengers understandably often want to see their own house from above. As a pilot, of course, I don't know exactly where my passengers live, so I have to rely on their help when looking for their property. But let's jump to a different mission first: For photo flights with professional photographers, all details are discussed in a briefing before the flight. I fly [...]

A whiskey over Munich? Please speak clearly anyway!

During our sightseeing flights, I like to set the radio in our helicopter so that my passengers can listen to the radio through headphones - for most of them it's an exciting experience. Trier information

Trier is an independent city in the west of the country Rhineland-Palatinate. With just under 115.000 inhabitants, it is the third largest city after Mainz and Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Nationwide, Trier ranks 67th among 79 major cities in Germany (as of 2015).

The city was named more than 2000 years ago Augusta treverorum (from the second half of the 3rd century Treveris) founded and claimed the title of oldest City of Germany for itself. Trier refers to the longest history as a city already recognized by the Romans, in contrast to a settlement or an army camp.

The Roman monuments in Trier, consisting of amphitheater, barbara baths, imperial baths, basilica of Constantine, Porta Nigra, The Roman Bridge, the cathedral, the Liebfrauenkirche and the Igeler pillar just outside the city have been part of the UNESCOWorld Heritage. There are also many other important cultural monuments from later periods.
